Fabiha Ruthmila, Artist
Hello, nice to meet you! I am Fabiha Ruthmila and I am currently an Art and Art History specialist student at the University of Toronto with Sheridan College. I am Bengali-Canadian and interested in the arts, design, and digital media. I have always loved involving myself in work in the community and strive to create meaningful artwork. I have helped with designing the invitations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Treaty Forest, and I’m always looking for my next project.

Harmony of Traditions
My chair takes influences from South Asian art. As a Bengali-Canadian I always struggled with my identity. I wanted to create meaningful work to not only connect with my heritage but also allow other South Asian youth to see themselves in my work. I’ve always loved doing community activities and as an art student this was an amazing opportunity to bring together my art and my community in an array of colours.
