Start with a visit to the Waterdown Farmers’ Market. Your favourite local market is back for its ‘lucky 13th’ season. The market takes place every Saturday morning from 8 AM to 1 PM in the front parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion at 79 Hamilton Street North from now until mid-October. This season’s roster of vendors is strong with more than 30 weekly purveyors and more than 40 different growers, small batch producers, artisans and local businesses in total who will make an appearance as the season unfolds. Look for your favourite or discover a new gem. Linger over coffee or a prepared meal while taking in the sights, sounds and activities at the Market. Great vibes to set the tone for your whole weekend.
Try Something New
Summer is the perfect time to build new routines that honour your health and fitness. That’s why Waterdown Village is bringing TryDays – Free Fitness in the Park classes – back to Memorial Park on Tuesday evenings from June 16 to August 25. Have you always wanted to try a new activity but were nervous about making a commitment without a trial run? Thanks to the participation of several health and fitness Waterdown Village leaders, you’ll have the chance to do just that. Learn how to improve your core, stretch out the sticky spots, breath to relieve stress, build strength and endurance. Each week it’s a different class, from pilates to strength training to hip hop and boot camp style classes. Learn as you sweat.
