Summertime!

Blue skies, sunshine, fresh blooms and fun evenings on the patio. Who doesn’t love Waterdown Village at this time of year? The Village is bursting with summertime activity and we can’t wait to see you walking and cycling our streets, enjoying our restaurants and cafes, shopping our unique stores, visiting the local Waterdown Farmers’ Market and participating in upcoming community events.

Speaking of events – we’re getting a ‘hop start’ on summer with the return of Hopscotch Saturday on June 18. Don’t miss this one-day event when participating business partners create temporary art installations in front of their locations for your viewing and hopping pleasure. Be sure to check out the Kids’ and Artist Zones in the Waterdown Optometric parking lots at 301 Dundas St. E. and just south of Dundas on Flamboro St. (across from Jay’s Auto).  Thanks Waterdown Optometric for lending your outdoor spaces.

Sunday, June 19 is Father’s Day and Uncle Ross Golf has donated a Deadeye golf putter (retail value $89) for our ‘5 Words Father’s Day’ draw. Check out our Father’s Day posts @waterdownvillage on Instagram and Facebook and share the 5 words that best describe the father figure in your life for a chance to win the Deadeye putter for your dad.

Start your Saturday mornings with a visit to the Waterdown Farmers’ Market at the Waterdown Legion (79 Hamilton St. N.).
