Hike
Situated atop the Niagara escarpment and surrounded by rural land to the north, Waterdown Village is a central hub for nearby hiking trails. There are several access points to the Bruce Trail in the vicinity. Catch a trailside view of the Smokey Hollow waterfalls. Enjoy a beautiful woodland walk through the Waterdown North Wetland Trails (Joe Sams Leisure Park) – great lookout spot for birdwatchers and even the famous Blue Alligator. End your hike with a satisfying meal at a local eatery. You’ve earned it!
Bike
Cyclists will love the challenge of climbing Snake Road or touring rural roads. Or take a more casual ride along the Borer’s Creek Trail or the paved path through Joe Sam’s Leisure Park. Many out-of-town cycling groups love training and pedalling their way around Flamborough, and look forward to fuelling with a snack and rest stop in the Village.
